Kobe Banks Buzz Beater vs Miami Heat

Hate or love it, when Darth Kobe has the ball the balls gonna drop! In what had to be one of the best come from behind buzzer beaters of Kobe's career, Kobe launched the ball with less than 4 seconds left to go in a nail biter game against the Miami Heat last night and banked a circus trick shot only a former NBA MVP could sink. Prior to the shot the Lakers managed to battle their way within two after blowing a six point lead earlier in the quarter and after two free throws by Dwyane Wade, dished it to Derek Fisher for the clutch three bringing the score within one at 105-106 Miami. Shortly after, an inbound pass from Artest to Bryant over Dwyane Wade sealed the Heat's fate in what had to be a heart-breaking loss after a hard fought game. Allen Iverson and Grizzlies Anull Marriage

It was shorter than a "I Love Ray J" reality show reject's career however the ill-fated marriage between Allen Iverson and the Memphis Grizzlies is now officially over. Monday, Grizzlies owner and Iverson mutually agreed to go separate ways putting an end to Iverson's 10 day tenure in Memphis of which he only played 3 games before succumbing to a hamstring injury. 

"The Grizzlies and Allen Iverson have come to a mutual agreement that because of personal matters that forced him to leave the team on November 7, Allen will step away from the game at this time, allowing him to focus on those matters," Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace said in a statement according to USA Today.

SHANNON BROWN HIGH FLYING DUNK FACIAL

It was just the thing to bring Lakers fans to their feet. No not another championship ring. Got to wait until June 2010 for that (smile) That thing was in the guise of a one-handed monster dunk Lakers guard, Shannon Brown aka "Young Shannon" unleashed over unsuspecting Warriors power forward, Mikki Moore from just inside the free throw line last night.

The jam was as a result of a steal by Brown from Corey Maggette. Shannon Brown raced down court on a fast break, driving into the lane for the slam that brought Moore to his knees and sent Brown to the ground soon after. Shannon couldn't help but celebrate with a few claps of his own nor could Twitter. Once again Young Shannon was a number one trending topic and not for his likeness to a certain famous ex of Rihanna.

Lebron James "More Than A Game"

The theme was "green" as I rode up the escalators of the AMC Loews Theaters in scenic downtown Chicago and Sprite spared no expense in pulling out the punches to promote their new all natural drink --- Sprite Green and the Lebron James documentary "More Than A Game."  The drink boasts half the calories of the original Sprite with all natural sugars laced with a hint of lemon juice in a green tinged transparent glass bottle that would make the Incredible Hulk proud.  However, the event hosted by local comedian and radio host, Leon Rogers was "More Than Green." As any tastemaker, fashionista or media hound would tell you, after packing into an intimately lit theater seating 150 people and previewing the highly anticipated documentary 7 1/2 years in the making -- It was more than Lebron James.

By now the term dunk tape and Lebron James go hand and hand. So does the term "the kid that dunked on Lebron" and the name Jordan Crawford, a Xavier sophomore basketball player now lapping in the luxury of national buzz only a blown out of proportion "scandal" can bring. Not too long ago Crawford was an unknown invited to join a select group of college basketball's elite to play with Lebron at the Nike sponsored Lebron Skills Academy in Akron, OH and now film of him dunking on the MVP of the NBA is circulating heavily on blogs and media sources around the world, all thanks to "Lebron Gate."

TRADE OR BUST#1:RASHEED TO CELTS,SHAQ TO CAVS

Unloaded as a bombshell prequel to the 2009 NBA Draft, the "rumor"that Shaq was preparing to sign with the 2009 NBA MVP LeBron James and the LeBronettes electrified airwaves and ignited tweets declaring the Cavs as certified 2009-2010 NBA Champions. A week later, the rumormill was spinning again with talks of former Detroit Pistons forward, Rasheed Wallace being picked up by the 2007-2008 Champion Boston Celtics. It wasn't long before the comparisons of who got the better deal began buzzing like a horde of overactive bumblebees.

While "The Big Witness" may seem like the ultimate blockbuster acquisition on paper,the Cavs like their delusional fans salivating at the mouth at the high flying alley-oops, elbow-throwing paint dominating annihilation to come are missing one key component this trade does not possess and that is an alternate offensive set other than the "Pass the ball to LeBron" play.

KOBE AND MAGIC HONOR KING OF POP

Kobe and Magic remember the time,speaking at the request of the Jackson family at the Michael Jackson memorial service Tuesday at the Staples Center. Bryant and Johnson joined an all-star cast including The Jackson family, Brooke Shields,Mariah Carey,Usher,Berniece King,Al Sharpton and John Mayer to name a few in a memorial service that was part musical tribute and part spiritual ceremony honoring Michael Jackson's memory while giving a filled to capacity Staples Arena the chance to say goodbye. If there's any reason why Kobe's career in music flopped, it might be because he fumble and emotionless delivery of lines on MJ's life and impact on music while Magic attempted humor with a somewhat funny relevation of Michael's fetish for Kentucky Fried Chicken.
 
**Update**After this broadcast, lines at KFC's nationwide were as long as the list of doctors being sought for questioning in MJ's death. Thank you Kobe and Magic! MJ would be proud!
