In an attempt to better their offense,the former NFC Champions extended a $1.6 million one year contract with the option for a second year valued at $5.6 million to the ex-highest paid NFL player. According to FOXSports.com the Eagles are not the first team to submit an offer to Vick, Cincinnati Bengals first offered the quarterback a two year deal worth an estimated $2.3 million. As most people know, Vick was arrested and indicted for funding and spear heading an illegal dog fighting ring across several state lines. After serving his time and being released from home confinement on July 20, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell lifted Vick's suspension under strict conditions
