Breaking news coming from the Mayweather camp is that Manny strongly opposes the "Olympic-style" drug testing being requested by the Mayweather which involves drawing of blood to determine the presence steroids or other performance enhancement drugs before the fight. The reason Pacquiao is refusing to being subjected to a random blood test 30 days prior to the bout as mandated by the US Anti-Doping Agency.

It is arguably the "Game of the Year" and tonight its going down in the "Big Easy" as the former Superbowl Champion New England Patriots storm into New Orleans to take on the undefeated New Orleans Saints. The air is electric with anticipation of the Saints continuing their 10 win streak while the Patriots hope to seal their first road win of the season. Both teams are led by two of the most elite quarterbacks in the league and both lack on the run. With squads so evenly matched, the slight edge will go to the red zone offense that can not only push the ball down field but the red zone defense strong enough to enforce it.

When six time NBA MVP and current special assistant to the World Championship Los Angeles Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar began experiencing hot flashes and sweats on a regular basis, he instantly knew something was wrong. Though his family has a past history of cancer, nothing could prepare him for his diagnosis. After visiting a physician from his alma mater during the late 1960's, UCLA, it was discovered that Kareem's white blood cell count was abnormally high. Without further delay, he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia called chronic myeloid leukemia, which affects both the blood and bone marrow by producing cancerous blood cells.

“I felt my hand go on the ball and I felt that I had a chance to get it out. I just stripped it out. It was a big play. We needed it,” UConn Huskies starting cornerback, Jasper Howard said after a 38-25 victory over Louisville Saturday. Howard was integral on assisting his team to cement a homecoming victory for the Huskies but as he and his teammates celebrated in the locker room, no one could predict that his post game interview would be his last.Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Howard and another student were stabbed during a fight at an official university sanctioned dance held in the UConn Student Union.
