UConn Football Star Stabbed To Death

“I felt my hand go on the ball and I felt that I had a chance to get it out. I just stripped it out. It was a big play. We needed it,” UConn Huskies starting cornerback, Jasper Howard said after a 38-25 victory over Louisville Saturday. Howard was integral on assisting his team to cement a homecoming victory for the Huskies but as he and his teammates celebrated in the locker room, no one could predict that his post game interview would be his last.

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Howard and another student were stabbed during a fight at an official university sanctioned dance held in the UConn Student Union. 

BLOUNT SUSPENSION=JUSTICE SERVED

Guy taunts guy and taps his shoulder. As the provoker looks away, laughing, the taunted delivers a sucker punch to the guy’s grill in a jaw rocking blow that sends him to his knees. This could easily describe in beer infused brawl outside any college town in America however this scenario took place on Thursday, September 3rd, in front of millions of fans live and on TV in shoulder pads and helmets instead of fitted baseball caps and team logo tees.  Right after losing a penalty and fumble ridden game to rival Boise St, Oregon running back, LeGarette Blount and Boise St’s  sophomore defensive end, Byron Hout got into a scuffle after Hout ridiculed and taunted him. Many people are probably thinking a fight so clearly provoked although certainly unnecessary hardly calls for Blount being suspended from the team for the whole season maybe 4-5 games at best, however I beg to differ for one reason and one reason only – Accountability.

DUCKS' BLOUNT SUCKER PUNCHES BOISE ST'S HOUT

It is the punch that was heard across the internet if there is such a thing. After an emotional loss to Boise St 19-8 in regulation, Oregon Ducks running back, LeGarette Blount nailed Boise St.defensive end, Byron Hout with a sucker punch that brought him to his knees! Hout had ill advisedly sauntered up to Blount not too long after the game was over and had few words with the running back before lightly tapping him on the shoulder. LeGarette didn't hesitate to fire back his disapproval landing a blow squarely to Hout's jaw. The hectic scene of Blount lunging out of control at fans and later being restrained then escorted out by a Boise police officer and Oregon's assistant coach. Whatever Hout said to Blount, just call LaGarette Blount college football's Rocky Balboa.

THE 21 YEAR OLD VIRGIN QUARTERBACK

It reads something like a movie title or an after school special about the virtues of abstinence, however this is no prequel to the cult hit comedy “The 40 year old Virgin” this is a vow of chastity taken by the Heisman trophy winner quarterback, Tim Tebow. Someone anoint his head in oil and bathe his feet in rosewater, this man is ready for sainthood! Really how many rising star athletes let alone football players openly declare that they are saving themselves for marriage? Yet when inappropriately blind-sided with the question about his virtue by a reporter with seemingly little scrupples, Tebow didn’t blink or think twice about announcing his vow of abstinence. “I’m a virgin,” he said.

Why should he be hesitant about it or even embarrassed?
